Rider Bio:

Claudia Lichtenberg (Nee Haussler) was born on 17 November 1985 in München, Germany. Lichtenberg, who married Christian Lichtenberg in 2014, is one of the most experienced riders with Bronzini, having turned professional in 2005 as a member of the Austrian Elk Haus-Tirol Team. Claudia’s extensive career has seen her claim a lot of remarkable results including a German National Title (2006), Giro Rosa (2009), Tour de L’Aude (2009), Emakumeen Bira (2010), Giro della Toscana (2013) and the Route de France in 2014.

After starting her pro career in 2015 with the Elk Haus-Tirol team Lichtenberg rode for Equipe Nurnberger (2006-2008), Cervelo TestTeam (2009-2010), Diadora-Pasta Zara (2011), GreenEdge (2012), Team Tibco (2013), Liv Plantur (2014-2015) and Lotto Soudal-Ladies (2016) before joining Wiggle High5 Pro Cycling for the 2017 season. 

Lichtenberg, who is an allrounder, sees the Giro Rosa as her favorite race. She won the Giro in 2009 and finished third in 2008 and 2013. On top of that she finished in the top 10 multiple times throughout her career. She also competed for Germany in multiple World Championships, European Championships and the 2016 Olympic Games after missing out on London 2012.

Lichtenberg who likes hiking and cooking finished Gymnasium in 2005 and has also successfully completed a study in mechanical engineering.

Claudia is capable of achieving results on a large variety of terrain. Her abilities and strengths will make her an indispensable member of Wiggle High5 in 2017.
