Julie Leth Blog: Spanish Lessons!

After spending a lot of time in Girona the past 3 years, I finally decided it was time for me, to start taking Spanish lessons. I do not know, why I have been postponing it for so long. I kept debating with myself; Should I learn Catalan or Spanish? How would I make it work, with all the travelling? Always making up excuses, when I actually did find it a bit rude, to spend so much time in a country, without trying to learn the language. In the end I found out, my neighbour teaches languages, and she offered me to do Skype lessons, when I am out of town. So I pretty much have to walk one meter from my door to hers to get to class, or just turn on my laptop. I ran out of excuses not to do it, and have so far had two lessons.

Back in high school, I had the opportunity, to take Spanish lessons. However, as I had already had a few years of German in elementary School, I figured I would be better off, just sharpening my German skills, and when was I going Spanish anyway? I wish the younger version of me, had chosen differently. So here I am, starting from scratch, with all the basic grammar. I am pretty sure it will take awhile, before I am anywhere close to fluent, so do not hold your breath for a blog in Spanish!
