Nettie Edmondson Blog: Health 1 Bike 2

Hello from Australia! I’ve been back in the homeland for two months now and I’m starting get things back ‘on track’. Those who have been following my journey over the last few months know that I had to cut my 2017 road season short due to unforeseen illness.

Due to a family history of auto-immune disease, I was forced to return to Australia for further tests. Thankfully, all is ok and things are starting to head in the right direction. I’m lucky that it’s nothing too terrible. It’s something that can be controlled, which means I can get on with it. I’m being well looked after and have a great support team behind me, helping me monitor and stay on top of this, seemingly ’new me’. My coach and teammates have been very understanding, and we’re taking it slowly, working our way back into health, then shape, and then full steam ahead to TDU, track nationals and the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

..at least that’s the plan anyway 😉
